Deliciously chewy and customizable homemade granola bars, perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g., peanut butter, almond butter)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (e.g., raisins, cranberries)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Mix together the rolled oats, chopped nuts, salt, and dried fruits in a large bowl.
  3. Combine your choice of honey (or maple syrup), nut butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish and press down firmly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Refrigerate for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
