Delicious and customizable homemade granola bars that offer a perfect blend of crunch, chewiness, and sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g., almond or peanut)
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (e.g., cranberries, raisins)
  • 1/4 cup seeds (e.g., sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, nuts, dried fruits, and seeds until well incorporated.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat the honey and nut butter over low heat until melted and smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt, allowing the mixture to come together into a luscious sauce.
  4. Pour the honey mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well until everything is coated in that golden goodness.
  5. Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish evenly, making sure to pack it down firmly so the bars hold their shape.
  6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

For nut allergies, substitute nut butter with sunflower seed butter. For a vegan option, swap honey for maple syrup.
