A delightful dish combining sweet and savory flavors, featuring juicy shrimp coated in a rich honey-garlic glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Heat the Oil: In a large pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the pan, cooking until they turn a lovely pink color—about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Simmer with the Sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked shrimp and allow it to simmer for a minute.
  5. Thicken the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth, then add it to the pan to thicken the sauce.
  6. Final Cooking: Continue to stir and cook for another minute.
  7. Serve Hot: Plate the honey garlic shrimp while it’s hot, garnishing with sliced green onions.
