A delightful blend of sweet and spicy flavor that transcends any dinner occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Create the Marinade: In a bowl, mix honey, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil to make the marinade.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then add it to the marinade, ensuring it is well coated.
  3. Marinate the Chicken: Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat Things Up: Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill or Bake the Chicken: For grilling, cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or for baking, place it on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Let it Rest: Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra heat, consider adding chopped chili peppers or cayenne to the marinade. This recipe also works well with shrimp or tofu for variations.
