Delicious, chewy cookies filled with gooey caramel and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt—perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel chips
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • ½ tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter with both sugars in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the caramel chips and optional chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Sprinkle each cookie with flaky sea salt before baking.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are still soft.
  10. Cool on the sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. You can freeze them for up to 3 months.
