  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture until the dough forms.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream for added richness.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Remove cookies and sprinkle brown sugar on top, then caramelize with a kitchen torch.
  10. Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
