A refreshing and creamy Key Lime Pie with a buttery crust, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup fresh key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a pie pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest. Ensure all the ingredients are well blended and smooth.
  3. Pour the lime filling into the freshly baked crust. Bake for 15 minutes, then set aside to cool completely. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  4. Before serving, beat heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar in a bowl until stiff peaks form. This step adds a fluffy, sweet finish to your pie.
  5. Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the chilled pie. Slice, serve, and revel in the smiles of those enjoying your homemade Key Lime Pie!

Notes

For best results, use fresh key lime juice and allow the pie to chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
