A refreshing Key Lime Pie that captures the essence of summer with its sweet, tangy, and creamy filling.

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • Lime slices and zest for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a pie pan to create a crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until firm and slightly golden.
  5. Whisk together the egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until smooth.
  6. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  7. Cool the pie to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  8. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  9. Top the chilled pie with whipped cream and garnish with lime slices and zest before serving.

Notes

Use fresh key lime juice for the best flavor. Allow pie to cool completely before adding whipped cream.
