Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s nicely browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Combine the Flavors: Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Serve it Up: Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice, using white, brown, or quinoa.
  5. Garnish with Love: Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for added crunch.

Notes

For a richer flavor, mix beef and pork, or use low-sodium soy sauce for health. Add sliced bell peppers or snap peas during cooking for more veggies.
