A comforting bowl of warm rice topped with a flavorful beef mixture and fresh toppings, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • Kimchi (optional) for serving
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  3. Serve the beef mixture over a bed of fluffy cooked rice. Top with cucumber slices, chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and kimchi if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or Sriracha. Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
