A refreshing take on the classic tiramisu, blending the tangy notes of lemon with creamy mascarpone and coffee-soaked ladyfingers.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. Mix the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth.
  3. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Dip the ladyfinger cookies into the cooled coffee and arrange them in a 9×9 inch dish.
  5. Spread half of the lemon mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  6. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled, garnished with extra lemon zest or a sprig of mint. Pairs well with sparkling Moscato or herbal tea.
