A refreshing homemade sorbet made with ripe mangoes and sweet strawberries, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced (about 2 cups)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (optional, for added brightness)

Instructions

  1. Prep your fruits by peeling and dicing the mangoes and hulling and slicing the strawberries.
  2. Combine the diced mangoes, sliced strawberries, sugar, water, and lime juice in a blender or food processor.
  3. Blend the mixture until it’s smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste your mixture and adjust sugar or lime juice if necessary, blending briefly to incorporate.
  5. Freeze the mixture in a shallow freezer-safe dish for 4-6 hours until solidified.
  6. Stir the sorbet every couple of hours to break up ice crystals for a smooth texture.

Notes

Store leftover sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks. Stir regularly during freezing for best texture.
