A hearty, layered pasta dish featuring spaghetti, ground beef, marinara sauce, and a blend of cheeses, perfect for family gatherings and cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (15 oz) ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until fully cooked.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Mix the cooked spaghetti, ricotta cheese, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  6. Layer half of the spaghetti mixture, then half of the meat sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese in a greased baking dish. Repeat the layers.
  7. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze individual portions for up to 3 months. For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the beef while cooking.
