A quick and satisfying Mongolian beef recipe featuring tender strips of flank steak in a rich, sweet sauce, served over fluffy rice.

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce Mixture: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat the Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the Beef: Cook the beef slices until browned, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  4. Add the Garlic: Once the beef is browned, add minced garlic to the pan and stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Simmer the Sauce: Pour in the soy sauce mixture and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Add chopped green onions before serving over rice.

Notes
