A simple and delicious Mongolian Beef recipe that brings warmth and satisfaction to your dining table.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix the soy sauce and brown sugar until dissolved. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Brown the sliced flank steak in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes until caramelized.
  4. Add minced garlic, ginger, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir-fry for an additional minute.
  5. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the beef and increase the heat to bring it to a boil.
  6. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Stir in chopped green onions and serve over cooked rice.

Notes

For added texture, feel free to incorporate vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
