- 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Measure the cereal into a large bowl and set aside.
- Melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract to the mixture after removing it from heat.
- Coat the cereal by pouring the chocolate mixture over it and stirring gently.
- Prepare a resealable plastic bag by adding powdered sugar.
- Shake the coated cereal in the bag until all pieces are coated.
- Cool the Muddy Buddies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper before serving.
Notes
For added fun, let kids shake the bag during the coating process. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
