  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla in another bowl until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bars before serving.
