Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of cooked noodles
  • 2 cups of shredded cabbage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Sautéing Aromatics: In a pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until soft and aromatic, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Cooking Cabbage: Next, add the shredded cabbage to the pan. Stir and let it cook until wilted, roughly 5 minutes.
  3. Mixing in Noodles: Stir in the cooked noodles, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let the flavors meld for a minute or two.
  4. Cooling the Mixture: Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  5. Forming Buns: Take small portions of the mixture and form them into small buns.
  6. Frying to Perfection: In another pan, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the buns until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the buns hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

These buns shine on their own but are great with fresh salad or miso soup.
