A warm, comforting peach cobbler made with fresh, juicy peaches and a fluffy topping, perfect for summer evenings.

  • 4 cups sliced fresh peaches
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  3. Toss everything together gently until the peaches are well-coated and pour into a greased baking dish.
  4. Whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Stir in the milk and melted butter until well blended.
  6. Pour the batter over the peach mixture; do not stir.
  7. Bake for about 40-45 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Serve warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes
