A delightful fusion of grilled cheese and pizza that delivers maximum flavor with minimal ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheese
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup pepperonis (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Carefully place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  4. Add a slice of cheese, pizza sauce, and Italian seasoning to the bread.
  5. Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.
  6. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip to cook the other side.
  7. Remove from the skillet and serve hot.

Notes

Pairs well with marinara for dipping or a fresh salad.
