Delightful crispy potato cheese sticks, perfect for parties or a comforting snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into sticks, about the size of your pinky finger.
  3. Beat the egg in a separate bowl until it’s a pale yellow and slightly frothy.
  4. Dip each stick into flour, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry the sticks in hot oil over medium heat until golden brown on all sides.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with ranch, marinara, or spicy aioli. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
