A creamy and rich Quiche Lorraine, perfect for brunch or dinner, featuring smoky bacon and melted Gruyère cheese.

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.
  3. Spread the crumbled bacon evenly over the pie crust.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded Gruyère cheese on top of the bacon.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until set and golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before slicing.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For a crisper pie crust, pre-bake it before adding the filling. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or add sautéed veggies.
