A comforting and classic dish featuring a rich, creamy filling with bacon and Swiss cheese, all nestled in a flaky pie crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and pre-bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
  4. Add the crumbled bacon and shredded Swiss cheese to the egg mixture and stir gently.
  5. Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden.
  7. Allow the quiche to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
