Ravioli Lasagna

A comforting and simple dish that layers cheese-filled ravioli with marinara and ricotta, topped with bubbly mozzarella.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz cheese ravioli
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, along with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Spread a generous layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Layer half of the ravioli over the marinara sauce.
  5. Follow with half of the creamy ricotta mixture, then drizzle half of the remaining marinara sauce over it. Sprinkle on a little mozzarella.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, ricotta mixture, and marinara sauce, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, consider using homemade marinara or your favorite jarred one. Fresh spinach can be added between the layers.
