A decadent Red Velvet Cheesecake with a rich cream cheese filling and a crumbly crust, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of red velvet cake crumbs
  • 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Combine the red velvet cake crumbs with melted butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form a crust.
  4. Beat the softened cream cheese with the sugar until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract, sour cream, cocoa powder, and flour until smooth.
  7. Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the springform pan.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes until set; the center may jiggle slightly.
  9. Cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream and cocoa powder. Pairs well with coffee or dessert wine.
