Deliciously warm and fluffy biscuits packed with protein and flavor, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (your choice)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon or sausage (optional)
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in the grated cheese and optional bacon or sausage.
  4. Whisk together the Greek yogurt, milk, and egg in another bowl.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and gently stir until just combined.
  6. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface until cohesive, then roll out to about 1 inch thick.
  7. Cut out your biscuits and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Slide the biscuits into your preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let the biscuits cool slightly before serving.
