A delightful harmony of sweet and savory flavors, this Sesame Garlic Chicken combines the richness of soy sauce, honey, and garlic for a quick and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade: In a bowl, combine sesame oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and grated ginger. Stir well until the mixture is well-blended.
  2. Marinate the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the bowl, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your cooking surface: Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the chicken: Place the marinated chicken on the grill or skillet. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until chicken is cooked through and reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Finish with sesame seeds: Remove the chicken from the heat and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  6. Garnish and serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can use bone-in chicken thighs instead of breasts. Marinating for 15 minutes is enough for a quick meal.
