A comforting and flavorful Cajun-inspired pasta dish featuring seared sirloin steak and a creamy sauce, all cooked in one skillet for easy preparation.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season sirloin strips with salt and pepper, then cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet.
  2. Sauté sliced onion and bell peppers in the same skillet for about 4-5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Add fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce heat to low; stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning until well combined.
  6. Return cooked steak to the skillet, add Parmesan cheese, and stir until melted into the sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.

Notes

Serve with a simple side salad or garlic bread. Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
