A tender and smoky pulled pork dish cooked slowly, perfect for family gatherings and cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Place the chopped onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Rub the pork shoulder generously with smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned pork on top of the onions and garlic in the slow cooker.
  4. Pour the barbecue sauce and chicken broth over the pork.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender.
  6. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Serve the pulled pork on buns or alongside your favorite sides.

Notes

Serve on soft brioche or whole grain buns with coleslaw. For extra flavor, consider adding jalapeños or adjusting the barbecue sauce to your taste.
