Delicious Smash Burgers with a crispy crust, juicy beef, and your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 Burger buns
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the skillet or griddle over high heat.
  2. Form loose balls of beef, about 4 to 6 ounces each.
  3. Smash the beef balls onto the skillet with a spatula.
  4. Season each patty with salt and pepper.
  5. Sear the patties for about 3 minutes until crispy.
  6. Flip each patty and add a slice of cheese if desired.
  7. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Toast the burger buns on the skillet.
  9. Assemble the burgers with toppings.
  10. Serve and enjoy while hot.

Notes

For best results, make sure the skillet is hot enough to give a good sear, and don’t overcrowd it. Rest the burgers off heat before serving.
