A cozy pasta bake featuring tender chicken, smoky BBQ sauce, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for a family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or leftovers)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (smoky variety)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream or milk
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the penne pasta according to package directions until al dente; then drain.
  3. Mix the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, cream or milk, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and half of the cheddar cheese in a large bowl until well combined.
  4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to your liking.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, and spread it out evenly.
  6. Top the pasta mixture with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the dish is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Pairs well with a green salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
