A comforting and flavorful pasta dish featuring tender chicken thighs, smoky sausage, and a creamy Cajun sauce that brings warmth to any dining experience.

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, sliced
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced

Instructions

  1. Sauté the diced onion and bell pepper in a large pot over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the sliced chicken and smoked sausage, seasoning generously with Cajun spices; cook for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is browned.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Add the pasta of your choice, reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes until al dente.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and creamy.
  7. Serve hot and garnish as desired.
