A flavorful marinade that combines sweetness and tanginess to create tender, juicy ribs perfect for any barbecue.

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the Base Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, and soy sauce.
  2. Add the Spices: Add the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
  3. Whisk to Perfection: Whisk all ingredients thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Marinate Your Ribs: Place your ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow container and pour in the marinade.
  5. Let It Chill: Seal the bag or cover the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Prepare for Cooking: When ready to cook, remove the ribs from the marinade and reserve the excess marinade for basting.
  7. Cook the Ribs: Grill or bake the ribs according to your preferred method, basting with reserved marinade every 15 minutes.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate overnight. You can also use this marinade for chicken or pork.
