Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix the sourdough starter and milk together until smooth.
  2. Whisk in the flour and sugar until well combined.
  3. Beat the egg and mix in the melted butter.
  4. Combine the egg mixture with the sourdough mixture using a spatula.
  5. Fold in the baking soda and salt until just incorporated.
  6. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  7. Pour batter onto the skillet, about 1/4 cup for each pancake.
  8. Flip the pancakes when bubbles form on the surface and cook until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh berries, or whipped cream. These pancakes can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
