Delightful chocolatey cookies with a beautiful crinkled surface, dusted in powdered sugar, perfect for spring celebrations.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Colorful sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the granulated sugar and vegetable oil until well combined in another bowl.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and beat until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
  6. Roll the dough into balls, then roll each ball in powdered sugar.
  7. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For richer flavor, try using dark cocoa powder. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
