A delightful recipe for tender steak bites paired with creamy roasted baby potatoes, seasoned to perfection, ideal for cozy dinners.

  • 1 lb sirloin steak (or any preferred cut)
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Fresh rosemary (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak bites and sear for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Toss the baby potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring it to a boil. Cook until fork-tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Drain the potatoes and toss them in a bowl with the remaining olive oil, salt, pepper, and fresh rosemary if using.
  6. Spread the seasoned potatoes evenly on a baking sheet.
  7. Add the steak bites to the same baking sheet with the potatoes and pop everything into the oven.
  8. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

Make sure the steak is at room temperature before searing for even cooking. You can also marinate the steak for added flavor.
