A comforting one-pot meal featuring smoked sausage, garlic, and jasmine rice, all coated in a sweet honey sauce.

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Sauté the smoked sausage in a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Combine honey, soy sauce, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes in a bowl, then stir this mixture into the skillet to coat the sausage.
  4. Add jasmine rice and mix well, ensuring each grain is coated.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  7. Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Serve with a fresh green salad or steamed broccoli. Add chopped green onions or sesame seeds for extra flavor.
