Optional: red pepper flakes, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne or linguine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Remember to reserve 1/2 cup of that glorious pasta water before draining!
Season the Chicken: While the garlic is cooking, season the chicken thighs generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Cook the Chicken: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the seasoned chicken thighs to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Create the Sauce: When the chicken is perfectly cooked, add the soy sauce and honey to the skillet. Stir gently and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Combine with Pasta: Add your drained pasta to the skillet with the chicken and gently toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water until well-coated.
Garnish and Serve: Transfer the pasta to serving plates, garnishing with parsley and Parmesan cheese. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken beforehand. Don’t skip reserving pasta water for a creamy texture!
