A comforting bowl of pasta with tender chicken thighs in a rich, garlicky butter sauce, perfect for satisfying cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 8 oz penne or linguine pasta
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne or linguine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Remember to reserve 1/2 cup of that glorious pasta water before draining!
  2. Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Season the Chicken: While the garlic is cooking, season the chicken thighs generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the seasoned chicken thighs to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Create the Sauce: When the chicken is perfectly cooked, add the soy sauce and honey to the skillet. Stir gently and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Combine with Pasta: Add your drained pasta to the skillet with the chicken and gently toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water until well-coated.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Transfer the pasta to serving plates, garnishing with parsley and Parmesan cheese. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken beforehand. Don’t skip reserving pasta water for a creamy texture!
