Delicious strawberry cinnamon rolls made with soft brioche dough, drizzled in creamy icing, perfect for lazy weekend mornings.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Whisk together.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg.
  3. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  8. Sprinkle with cinnamon, brown sugar, and strawberries.
  9. Roll the dough tightly and slice into 12 rolls.
  10. Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  12. For icing, beat together powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk until smooth.
  13. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and serve immediately.
