A delightful dessert combining the softness of yellow cake with the tangy sweetness of strawberries.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of strawberry gelatin
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Beat until smooth and pour into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake according to package instructions, around 30-35 minutes.
  4. Remove the cake from the oven and cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  5. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.
  6. Poke holes throughout the cooled cake using a wooden spoon.
  7. Pour the gelatin mixture over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours until fully set.
  9. Spread whipped topping over the cake and decorate with sliced strawberries. Slice and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best enjoyed within 3-4 days.
