A nostalgic dessert combining salty pretzel crust, creamy filling, and fresh strawberries.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 (6 oz) package strawberry gelatin

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Crush the pretzel sticks and combine them with the granulated sugar and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish and bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool.
  3. Combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Fold in the whipped topping. Spread this mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  4. Mix the sliced strawberries with the strawberry gelatin and a bit of water to dissolve.
  5. Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the layers to set beautifully.

Notes

Can be served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
