A delightful twist on a classic, this Strawberry Shortcake Sheet Cake combines buttery yellow cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries for a stunning dessert perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 cups of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet cake pan.
  2. Combine the yellow cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water in a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and spread it evenly.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  6. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  7. Spread the whipped cream over the top of the cooled cake.
  8. Top with the sliced strawberries.
