A comforting recipe for stuffed shells filled with a creamy cheese mixture and topped with marinara sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl until creamy.
  4. Stuff each cooked shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the stuffed shells in the dish, opening side up, and top with remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top, if desired.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Make sure the pasta shells are cooked al dente, and adjust seasoning to personal taste.
