Delicious teriyaki chicken skewers marinated and grilled to perfection, perfect for gatherings and weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the marinade in a bowl by mixing teriyaki sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and ginger powder until well blended.
  2. Marinate the chicken by adding the pieces to the marinade, stirring to coat each piece. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat, letting it get nice and hot.
  4. Assemble the skewers by threading the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Grill the skewers on the grill, cooking for 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is fully cooked and has a lovely char.
  6. Garnish and serve by removing from heat and sprinkling with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning. Chicken is safe to eat when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
