  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Sear the chicken in a large skillet with olive oil for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Set the chicken aside to rest.
  5. Sauté the diced onions and sliced mushrooms until softened.
  6. Combine the chicken broth and heavy cream in the skillet, stirring well.
  7. Return the browned chicken to the skillet, surrounded by the creamy sauce.
  8. Top with shredded cheese.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and cheese is melted.
