Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 23 Thai bird’s eye chilies, chopped
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Cooked jasmine rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté minced garlic and chopped bird’s eye chilies for about 30 seconds.
  3. Cook the thinly sliced chicken for 5-7 minutes until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Stir well to mix.
  5. Add Thai basil leaves and cook until wilted, about 1 minute.
  6. Serve hot over jasmine rice.

Notes

For a spicier kick, leave the seeds of the chilies. Fresh Thai basil is essential for authentic flavor.
