A delightful Tiramisu Cake that layers coffee-kissed flavors with creamy mascarpone for an unforgettable dessert experience.

Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup espresso, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Chocolate shavings for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until pale. Add the milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and cool.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  3. In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso with coffee liqueur.
  4. Quickly dip the ladyfingers into the espresso mixture and layer them in a cake pan.
  5. Spread a layer of mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers, then repeat layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with mascarpone cream.
  6. Refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.
  7. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings.

Notes

Use the freshest eggs and mascarpone for the best flavor. Be patient with the chilling time.
