A delightful and comforting Turkish dish featuring poached eggs on creamy garlic yogurt, topped with spicy butter and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

  • Fresh dill or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a pot with water and add vinegar. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Crack the eggs one at a time into a small bowl and gently slide them into the simmering water. Poach the eggs for about 3-4 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.
  3. Mix the Greek yogurt with minced garlic and season with salt.
  4. Melt butter over medium heat in a small pan and add red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Spoon the yogurt mixture onto a plate, place the poached eggs on top, and drizzle the spicy butter over the eggs. Garnish with fresh herbs.
