A simple yet flavorful plant-based deli meat made with firm tofu, perfect for sandwiches, salads, and wraps.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture.
  3. Mix soy sauce, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Slice the pressed tofu into thin strips and immerse them in the marinade.
  5. Bake marinated tofu strips on a baking sheet for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Cool slightly before serving in sandwiches, salads, or on its own.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different spices and marinate overnight for enhanced flavor.
