A delightful treat combining semi-ripe bananas, rich dark chocolate, and creamy peanut butter, perfect for snacking and sharing.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium semi-ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons drippy, creamy peanut butter
  • 1.5 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil – optional
  • Flaky sea salt – optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Baking Sheet: Line a medium-sized baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the Bananas: Peel and slice the bananas into 1/3-inch thick slices.
  3. Arrange the Bananas: Arrange the banana slices in a rectangular shape on the lined baking sheet.
  4. Spread the Peanut Butter: Spread the peanut butter evenly over the bananas.
  5. Melt the Dark Chocolate: Add the chocolate chips to a microwave-safe dish and heat in 30-second intervals until mostly melted.
  6. Assemble the Bark: Remove the banana bark from the freezer and pour the melted chocolate over it.
  7. Freeze the Bark: Place the bark back into the freezer for at least 90 minutes to fully set.
  8. Break and Serve: Once ready, remove from the freezer, peel off the parchment paper, break into pieces, and enjoy!

Notes

Leftover banana bark can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two months.
